 About Dr. Ye Wang

I am an incoming Assistant Professor at Department of Applied Physics, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e, Netherlands). Currently I work as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Dr. Marcelo Lozada-Hidalgo's Group, University of Manchester since February 2025. Prior to that, I was Postdoctoral Research Associate at Chhowalla Lab, Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge. I obtained my PhD and Master degree in Physical Chemistry with exceptional honour in 2021 from the Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering (I.S.I.S.) (Strasbourg, France), B.S of Materials Science and Engineering from Xiamen University (China).

My research is focused on interfacial engineering of low-dimensional materials for energy efficient applications and quantum phenomenon. I have received multiple awards including the CNRS C’Nano PhD Thesis Prize. I have published more than 15 papers on high-impact journals such as Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, JACS and presented in more than 10 international conferences. I have been peer reviewer in ACS Nano,  Journal of Materials Chemistry C, npj 2D Materials and Applications, eLight and now serving as guest editor of IOP Materials for Quantum Technology
