Outside academia, I am also an amateur Marathon runner. Throughout my Marathon journey, I realized that In mix-gender Sports events, such as public running races, female athletes are usually less being paid attention to as people do not expect females to break records due to physical limits--- just like in academia.

Endurance, creative, being equipped. Running and doing research has so much in common. The #acaFEMic runners# aims to form a network for female academics to share their stories of of searching gender equality, as well as organizing online and in person activities.
